Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
SugarBabies runs this website, shopsugarbabies.com, and our baby store at 926 Main Street, Suite #104, Sumner, WA 98390. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our online store runs on Shopify. If this policy and our Terms of Service ever disagree about how we handle personal information, this policy controls.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
- Order details, such as what you buy, return or exchange. Payments are handled by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Account details, if you create an account, such as your login and saved preferences.
- Messages you send us by email, phone, text or our contact form.
- Reviews you post and rewards activity, if you use our reviews or rewards programs.
Information collected automatically when you use our site:
- Device information, such as your IP address, browser, device type and general location.
- Activity on our site, such as pages you view, products you look at, searches, items added to your cart, the site that sent you to us, and the ad you clicked to get here.
- Cookies, pixels and similar tools, described below.
Our car seat fit tool and gear finder run in your browser. We do not save the answers you enter in them.
How we use your information
- To run our store: process orders and payments, ship, handle returns and exchanges, and manage your account.
- To help you: answer questions and provide customer support.
- To send marketing emails, if you sign up or check the box at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To show you ads for our products on other sites and apps, and to measure whether our ads work.
- To understand how people use our site so we can fix problems and improve it.
- To keep our store secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cookies, analytics and advertising tools
We use these companies' tools on our site:
- Shopify: hosts our store and checkout, and provides store analytics.
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager): measures site traffic and ad results, and shows our ads to people who have visited our site. Some of this data passes through our own tagging server, hosted for us by Stape, before it goes to Google.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram pixel): measures ad results and shows our ads to people who have visited our site.
- Microsoft Advertising: measures ad results on Bing and shows our ads to people who have visited our site.
- Microsoft Clarity: records how visitors use our site. See "Session recordings" below.
- PostHog: measures how people use our site. We do not use it to record sessions.
- Klaviyo: sends our marketing emails, and records which products our email subscribers view on our site and which emails they open.
- Judge.me for product reviews, Smile.io for our rewards program, Redo for returns and exchanges, Shop (Shopify's shopping app and Shop Pay), and MyRegistry for our gift registry.
Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like the cart and checkout, need cookies to work.
Session recordings
We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors use our site, including clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement and the pages visited. We use recordings to find broken pages and confusing layouts. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity does not record visits from browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Customer lists and ad matching
We share hashed (scrambled) email addresses and phone numbers of customers and email subscribers with Google (Customer Match) and Meta (Custom Audiences). We do this to show ads to existing customers, to leave them out of some ads, and to reach people similar to our customers. When you place an order, we may also send hashed contact details to Google with the purchase so we can measure which ads led to sales. If you want to be removed from these lists, contact us using the details below.
How we share personal information
- With service providers that work for us, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, email, analytics, reviews, rewards, returns and registry providers.
- With advertising partners (Google, Meta and Microsoft), as described above.
- When you ask us to, for example to ship a gift or connect a social login.
- When the law requires it, to protect our rights or our customers, or as part of a business sale or merger.
"Sales" and "sharing" under US state privacy laws
Some state laws treat letting advertising partners collect information through cookies and pixels on our site as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising." In the past 12 months we have made these categories available to Google, Meta and Microsoft in that way: identifiers (such as cookie IDs, IP address, and hashed email address and phone number), commercial information (such as products viewed, added to cart and purchased), internet activity (such as pages viewed and searches on our site), and inferences drawn from purchases (such as the product categories you have bought). We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
You can opt out at any time:
- Visit our Do Not Sell My Personal Information page.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Call or email us using the details below.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser. On our site, that means the Meta pixel, Microsoft Advertising and Microsoft Clarity do not run, and our Google tags are told not to store advertising cookies or use your visit to personalize ads. We still use Google Analytics and PostHog to count site traffic. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
Shopify
Shopify hosts our store and processes personal information to run and improve its services. For some features, Shopify uses information about your activity in our store and other Shopify stores, and in those cases Shopify is responsible for that processing. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising.
- Appeal our decision on your request.
To make a request, call or email us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you gave them permission. We respond within the time your state's law requires, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If you are not satisfied with the result of your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.
Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of any email. We will still send emails about your orders and account.
Children
Our site is meant for adults shopping for their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data is completely secure. We keep personal information as long as we need it to run our store, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our terms.
International visitors
Our store is based in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
