Buy the Nuna MIXX Next ($900) if you want one full-size stroller with a true-flat newborn recline and a PIPA infant seat that clicks on with the included ring adapter. Choose the Cybex Gazelle S ($899.95) if a second child is coming soon: it converts to a double without extra adapters and its two baskets carry up to 55 lb. For travel, Nuna's TRVL LX and Cybex's LIBELLE are the lightweights.
Prices update automatically from our store. Specs are Nuna's and Cybex's, from our product pages, with the basis each maker gives. Folded volumes are our arithmetic from the listed folded dimensions.
Nuna and Cybex sell strollers at similar prices to similar families, and the two lineups split along clear lines: Nuna leans on fold, finish and the tightest pairing with its own PIPA infant seats, while Cybex leans on modular configurations, basket capacity and one motor-assisted model. Below we line up the main strollers we sell from each brand on the numbers the makers publish, then say who each one is not for. If you are deciding between a bundled travel system and buying the seat and stroller separately, our travel system vs separate guide covers that first decision. For every full-size stroller we sell across brands, see our best stroller guide, and for the Nuna line in depth, Why Buy Nuna.

Prices update automatically from our store. Specs: Nuna and Cybex, as listed on our product pages. Weights use different bases, so treat a 1 lb gap as a tie. Folded volume is length times width times height from each listing, divided by 1,728, and ignores shape.
What the table changes
- Fold shape, not just size. The Gazelle S makes the smallest folded box of the three, but it is also the longest at 32.9 inches, against 27.5 inches for the MIXX Next. A flat, long fold suits a deep trunk; a shorter, taller fold suits a shallow one. Measure your cargo floor before you choose.
- Two children costs about the same either way. A Gazelle S with a second seat is $1,249.90 at regular prices, and a DEMI Next with rider board plus the sibling seat is $1,300, so the two land within $50.10 of each other. The difference is what you get: the Gazelle S adds the larger baskets, and the DEMI Next adds a rider board for an older sibling.
- Newborns. The MIXX Next listing calls out a true-flat recline for newborn comfort. The Gazelle S seat starts at 3 months, so for a newborn you add the Gazelle S bassinet ($299.95) or ride on an infant car seat.
Lighter strollers: TRVL LX, TRIV Next, LIBELLE, Beezy and MIOS
| Weight, maker's basis | Folded size (L x W x H) | Child limit | Infant seats that attach (listing) | SugarBabies price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nuna TRVL LX | 14.6 lb without canopy and armbar, 17 lb with them | 14.25 x 21 x 27 in | Birth to 50 lb | Nuna PIPA series, no adapter needed | $600 |
| Cybex LIBELLE | 13.7 lb | 12.6 x 7.8 x 18.9 in | To 55 lb | Cybex infant seats, adapters included | $349.95 |
| Nuna TRIV Next | 18.4 lb without insert, armbar and canopy (about 2.6 lb more with them) | 24 x 22.5 x 15 in | Birth to 50 lb; Nuna recommends using it with a PIPA series infant car seat until about 6 months | Nuna PIPA series, ring adapter included | $800 |
| Cybex Beezy | 18.1 lb assembled weight | 23 x 17.1 x 10.4 in | To 55 lb | Cybex infant seats, adapters included | $449.95 |
| Cybex MIOS | Not stated on our listing | 30.1 x 19.7 x 16 in | Seat from 6 months to 55 lb; from birth with the MIOS bassinet or an infant car seat | Cybex infant seats, adapters included | $899.95 |
Prices update automatically from our store. Specs: Nuna and Cybex, as listed on our product pages. Cybex lists the LIBELLE as carry-on compliant and adds that airline allowances vary and change, so check your airline before you fly.
The LIBELLE is the smallest fold here by a wide margin, about 1.1 cubic feet against about 4.7 for the TRVL LX by our arithmetic, and it costs $250.05 less at regular prices. The TRVL LX answers with a full-size feature list on a light frame, and it takes any PIPA seat with no adapter, which matters if you already own one. For the infant seat you fly with, see our lightweight infant car seats for travel guide.
Car seat pairing across the two brands
The Gazelle S is the most open of these strollers: its listing names Cybex, Maxi-Cosi Mico 30 and Nuna PIPA infant seats with the adapters in the box. That makes it the one to look at if you already own a PIPA and want a Cybex frame. The other Cybex strollers we sell list Cybex infant seats. Going the other way, the Nuna stroller listings we carry name PIPA series seats only. The DEMI Next + Rider Board box also includes infant car seat post adapters, but our listing does not say which seats they fit, so check Nuna's compatibility list before you pair a Cybex seat with it. For every pairing and adapter the makers list, see our cross-brand car seat and stroller compatibility chart, and for choosing among the PIPA seats, which Nuna car seat to buy.
The motor-assisted option
The Cybex e-Gazelle S is the Gazelle S with a battery. Cybex lists power assist going forward, brake assist going downhill, controlled by a lever on the handlebar, and a rocking mode with three settings. It weighs 32.4 lb against 28.4 lb for the Gazelle S and costs $300 more at regular prices. None of the Nuna strollers we sell lists motor assist.
Fabric and materials
Where the listings name materials, they differ. The Nuna SWIV and TRIV LX listings name Merino wool and TENCEL lyocell inserts, the DEMI Next listing a Merino wool insert, and the Nuna TAVO Next listing states GREENGUARD Gold certification for chemical emissions (our GREENGUARD Gold guide explains what that label does and does not cover). The Cybex stroller listings that name materials list polyester fabrics and padding. Our standalone MIXX Next and Gazelle S listings make no organic or emissions claim, so if that matters, choose by the specific model's listing rather than the brand.
Who each stroller is not for
- MIXX Next, not for: anyone planning a second child in the next couple of years. It is a single stroller with no second-seat option, and our listing gives no basket capacity.
- Gazelle S, not for: a short trunk, or a newborn on the seat alone. It folds 32.9 inches long, and its seat starts at 3 months, so newborns need the bassinet or an infant car seat.
- DEMI Next, not for: small cargo areas. Its folded box, about 11.4 cubic feet by our arithmetic, is the largest here, and its 22 lb basket is less than half the Gazelle S's combined 55 lb.
- e-Gazelle S, not for: flat routes. On level ground you carry 4 lb of extra weight and a battery to charge for a motor you rarely use.
- TRVL LX, not for: parents who want a carry-on-size fold. Our listing makes no carry-on claim, its folded box is about four times the LIBELLE's by our arithmetic, and it is the heavier of the two travel strollers.
- LIBELLE, not for: big shopping days. Cybex rates its basket at 11 lb, and it pairs only with Cybex infant seats on its listing.
- MIOS, not for: shoppers comparing on weight, since our listing does not state one, or parents who want the seat itself from birth, since the seat starts at 6 months.
Nuna vs Cybex stroller FAQ
What is the main difference between Nuna and Cybex strollers?
Among the strollers we sell, Nuna's strength is the one-brand pairing with PIPA infant seats and, on the MIXX Next, a true-flat seat for newborns. Cybex's strength is the Gazelle S: a single-to-double frame with 20+ configurations, 55 lb of basket capacity and included adapters for Cybex, Maxi-Cosi Mico 30 and Nuna PIPA seats.
Can a Nuna PIPA car seat go on a Cybex stroller?
On the Gazelle S and e-Gazelle S, yes: their listings name Nuna PIPA infant seats with the adapters included. The other Cybex strollers we sell list Cybex infant seats only.
Can a Cybex infant car seat go on a Nuna stroller?
Not on any Nuna stroller listing we carry: they name PIPA series seats only. The DEMI Next box includes post adapters, but our listing does not name the seats they fit, so confirm with Nuna's compatibility list first. The simplest Nuna pairing is a PIPA seat.
Which folds smaller, Nuna or Cybex?
For travel, the Cybex LIBELLE folds to 12.6 x 7.8 x 18.9 inches, far smaller than any Nuna stroller we sell. Among full-size strollers, the Gazelle S makes a smaller folded box than the MIXX Next but a longer one, 32.9 inches against 27.5 inches.
Which is better for two children?
The Gazelle S and the DEMI Next both convert. The Gazelle S adds a second seat or bassinet without extra adapters and carries the most in its baskets. The DEMI Next comes with a rider board for an older child and takes a sibling seat. At regular prices the two setups cost about the same. If both children need seats all day, Nuna also makes the side-by-side TRVL DUBL.
Can I return a stroller?
Stroller return terms are on our refund and return policy page, and delivery terms on our shipping information page.
